Shield Argent, on central chief a sword cross Gules, flanked by two grape bunches Purpure leafed Vert, on base three wheat sheaves Vert tied Gules and ordered 2:1. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE PEGÕES".
Meaning:
All charges had been common elements of the arms of both preceding communes. The cross is that one of the Order of St. James, former ruler of the Lordship of Pegões, the sheaves stand for agriculture, the grape bunches for viticulture.

Pegões is one of the three communes of Montijo Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 4090 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 79.77 km².

Meaning:
The region belonged to the Order of St. James, represented by its cross. The other elements are stressing the importance of agriculture.

Meaning:
The region belonged to the Order of St. James, represented by its cross. The grapevines are symbolizing the rural character, especially viticulture. The plough also is symbolizing agriculture. It is also an attribute of St. Isidor, the local patron saint.
