Shield Or a pillory Azure flanked at dexter by a goat Sable armed Argent and at sinister by a cow Sable spotted Argent both respectant. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "BRITIANDE"
Meaning:
The pillory on the arms is not stylized as a generic pillory (as prescribed by the relevant lawbut rather a representation of the local pillory as in Portuguese WIKIMEDIA

Britiande was one of the 14 communes of Lamego Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 792 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 4,80 km².
