Presentation of Macieira da Lixa e Caramos

Macieira da Lixa e Caramos is one of the eight communes of Felgueiras Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 3605 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 8,63 km². Together with Vila Cova da Lixa e Borba de Godim United Commune it forms the city of Lixa.

Shield Argent, on fess point a grape bunch Or leafed Vert flanked by two corn cobs leafed Vert, the dexter one fruited Gules and the sinister one fruited Or, on middle base point a heraldic fountain, on chief four ants Sable in fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MACIEIRA DA LIXA".
