Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a coronet Or with alternating fleur-de-lis Or and pearls Argent, surrounded in chief by a Maltese cross Argent , in base by a Napoleonic cavalry sabre Argent in pale, with hilt Or and sheath Azure, at dexter and sinister by two eradicated olive trees Argent fruited Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "MAÇAL DO CHÃO".
