Presentation of Eiras

Eiras was one of the 14 communes of Chaves Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 540 inhabitants in 2021 and covered 4,71 km².

According to source the commune has no proper coat of arms, there is just displayed an empty shield, and thus has also no proper flag.

São Julião de Montenegro was one of the 14 communes of Chaves Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 280 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 14,70 km².

Established by CHAAP on 26 December 2012, this former commune apparently used for a short time a coat of arms that had never been approved officially, although, probably the process of approval was stopped after the communeceased to exist. If so, a flag was created at the same time as the coat of arms, as it is always the case with symbols created by the CHAAP or meant to be pre-approved by it.
