Shield Azure, divided by a saltire Argent and a fess Argent into six fields, below and above central a castle Or masoned Sable with port and windows Gules, the field in chief is charged with a windmill's wheel Argent rigged Sable, the field in base is charged with a "double lunel", i.e. eight crescent set in circle. Each other field is charged with a grapevine Argent leaved Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESUAS DE MANIQUE DO INTENDENTE, VILA NOVA DE SÃO PEDRO E MAÇUSSA"
Meaning:
Saltire and fess are representing the Roman roads of Manique having names of Roman emperors. The grapevines are representing agriculture, especially viticulture. The windmill's wheel is representing the old industries of grain grinding and the local heritage. The crescents are representing population of the region since times immenorials, the castle of Vila Nova de São Pedro and the local heritage. Furthermore the cross roads are representing former Manique do Intendente commune, millwheel and crescents former Vila Nova de São Pedro commune and the grapevines former Maçussa commune.

Manique do Intendente, Vila Nova de São Pedro e Maçussa Commune is one of the seven communes of Azambuja Municipality; it had 2291 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 57.8 km².
