Coat of Arms

Shield Or, abased a bear rampant Sable armed Gules, flanked by two corn cobs Gules leafed Vert, on central chief a mitre Gules garnished Argent with scarves of the same. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE EIRAS E MEI".
Meaning:
The mitre is taken from the arms of the former Mei Commune, all other charges from those of the former Eiras Commune.

Shield Or, a bear rampant Sable armed, eyed and tongued Gules between two bunches of three wheat ears Vert tied Purpure in chief and a corn cob Gules leaved Vert and tied Purpure in base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "EIRAS - ARCOS DE VALDEVEZ".
