Coat of Arms

Shield Or, issuant from base wavy of Argent and Azure a mount Vert, on its top a rectangular tower Gules masoned Or, on central chief a gonfanon Azure fixed on a cross staff Gules, flanked by two fleur-de-lis Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE ÁLVORA E LOUREDA".
Meaning:
Tower and fleur-de-lis are taken from the arms of the former Álvora Commune, gonfanon and mount from those of the former Loureda Commune.

Álvora e Loureda is one of the 13 communes of Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 378 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 10,24 km².

Coat of Arms

Shield Gules with base wavy of Azure and Argent, issuant from base a mountain Argent, crowned by an embattled mural wall Argent masoned Sable with port Gules, in central chief a fleur-de-lis Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and short white scroll, in Bénard-Guedes style, with inscription in black initials "ÁLVORA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Vez River.

Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, two rye ears Vert crossed per saltire, in chief a labarum with staff or and sheet Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard-Guedes style, with inscription in black initials "LOUREDA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Vez River. The labarum might be an attribute of Archangel St. Michael, the local patron saint.
