I just found another portuguese district flag! It’s the flag of the
district of Aveiro, and it is probably the ugliest flag I’ve ever seen.
In a white field, there is a huge shield.
Jorge Candeias, 05 Jan 1998
This district has an area of 2812 km2, and a
population of 663 060 inhabitants as of 1990, living in
19 municipalities.
António Martins, 24 Jul 2001
A vexillological and heraldic mess, consisting of a quartered
large shield with the Aveiro municipal coat of arms over all and the other
18 municipal coats of arms arranged in each partition: the bottom ones
(4+4) per bend and bend sinister, the upper ones in cross 1+2+1 (5+5).
Antonio Martins, 30 Jul 1999
