Number of inhabitants: 17.053 (1 Jan 2003); area: 38,56 km². Settlements: Bennebroek, Bloemendaal, Bloemendaal aan Zee, Overveen, Aerdenhout and  Vogelenzang.
The municipal flag was adopted on 21 May 1981.
Description: A white hoist and a fly with seven equally wide stripes of green and white; on the center of the hoiststripe opposite each white fly-stripe a black "meerblad" (water-lily-leaf).
The three "meerbladeren" on white occur in the municipal Coat of Arms.
The four green stripes represent the municipal divisions (Bloemendaal - Overveen - Aerdenhout - Vogelenzang).
Proportions: 2:3.

Vogelenzang

An 11:17 flag with a large white letter "V" overall, extending to the top and bottom edges of the cloth and set in a bold serifed face limiting three areas: Red at the hoist, dark yellow on the middle (the roughly triangular space inside the letter), and very dark blue at the fly; on the yellow area, three green birds facing the hoist and aligned along the descending leg of the letter.

The Vogelenzang flag was put into use by the Dutch village of Vogelenzang on March 9, 2013. The flag has the colors of the flag of North Holland and the flag of Bloemendaal . The 3 birds are on a coat of arms on the baptismal font in the Church of Our Lady of the Ascension.
