Noordenveld municipality
Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 31.938; area: 202,00 km². Settlements:
Roden (seat), Altena, Alteveer, Een, Een-West, Foxwolde, Huis ter Heide,
Langelo, Leutingewolde, Lieveren, Matsloot, Nietap, Nieuw-Roden, Norg,

Noordenveld is a merger of the former municipalities of Roden,
Peize
and Norg on 1 Jan 1998
The municipality has adopted a flag on 19 October 2000.
Description: two stripes lengthwise proportioned 2:21; the first stripe
with seven equally wide horizontal stripes of black and white; the second
stripe: two equally wide horizontal stripes of green and yellow, with in
the center of the stripes a clover-leaf of 7/10 flagheight, countercharged.
