Flag

There is a civic flag for the Municipality of Tepezalá, white with municipal coat of arms on it (though some details of the coat of arms are green on the flag instead). It appears it was never adopted in an official manner.

The description of the coat of arms, found in the Municipal Code, is as follows:

ARTICLE 12 - The Official Coat of Arms of the Municipality of Tepezalá is described in the following manner:
I. It is divided into two parts, in the upper part being a drawing of San Juan Hill, signifying that the Municipality is found between hills; on the edges of the aforementioned hill the mine of San Pedro is found, representing the principal source of work from the time it was founded. Also found is the church of Our Lady of the Refuge which distinguishes the municipal seat and can be appreciated in the lower part of the Municipality; an agave plant and cactus signify the products which are obtained in its lands.
II. In the lower part, tools are observed, which miners use along with a hopper symbolizing the fruitful work of its inhabitants. Also found are corn and bean [I believe for the latter, a cluster of grapes is meant], items which its inhabitants harvest and are provided by the good land.
III. In the exterior border, the motto of the municipality, being "Justicia, Unidad y Progreso" [Justice, Unity, and Progress] is highlighted.
