The company N. Embiricos, of Andros, owned in 1915 the ship Assimacos, sunk in the Bay of Biscay in November 1916.
The company Georges M. Embericos purchased the ship Adana from
Furness, Withy & Co. and renamed it Miltiades Embericos. The ships was sunk in the Mediterranean Sea in July 1917.

According to Brown's Flags and Funnels of British and Foreign Steamship
Companies [wed26], the house flag of Embiricos Line, a company based in Athens, is blue with a white saltire and in the middle a white disc charged with a blue E.
The same flag is shown, as #1509, on Lloyd's book of house flags and funnels of the principal steamship lines of the world and the house flags of various lines of sailing vessels, published at Lloyd's Royal Exchange. London. E.C. (1912) [llo12], also available online thanks to the Mystic Seaport Foundation.
The Maritime Timetable Images website shows the 1926-1927 and 1934 sailing timetables of the National Steam Navigation Company of Greece decorated with the same flag.

According to Talbot-Booth (1937) [tbb37], the flag of M.A. Embiricos is white, divided by a blue saltire with converging lines. In the centre of the flag is a red disc, fimbriated black and charged with a black capital "E".
