The Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary flag is a blue flag with a thistle in
natural colour in its centre. The thistle is flanked by two checkered bars of
white squares ordered 2:3:2. Above the thistle is a white centred, serif
inscription "Dumfries and Galloway" (1st line) "Constabulary" (2nd line).
Beneath the thistle is a golden ribbon containing a motto in black capitals:
SEMPER VIGILO (I'm always watching), beneath the motto another white
inscription, but smaller than that one above: established 1948.

I spotted this flag on top of Dumfries Police Station on 4 October 2010.
