Tardets-Sorholus (Basque: Atharratze-Sorholüze; 573 inhabitants in 2021; 1,499 ha) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department.

In 1307, Auger III de Mauléon had retired to Navarre rather than submit to the King of England. He founded the bastide of Villeneuve, near Tardets in 1299.

On April 16, 1859, the commune of Tardets-Sorholus was formed by combining the communes of Tardets and Sorholus as well as part of the commune of Abense-de-Haut (the other part being integrated into the commune of Alos-Sibas-Abense).

The arms of the commune are those of the lords of Tardets, blazoned Lozengy Or and Gules.

A banner of arms of Tardets is flown in Mauléon-Licharre, in front of the city hall, together with the flags of Mauléon-Licharre, Soule, Lower-Navarre, Béarn, Basque country, France and EU.
