The municipality of Castrillo de la Valduerna (192 inhabitants in 2009; 2,351 ha) is located in the southeast of León Province, 65 km of León. The municipality is made of the two villages of Castrillo de la Valduerna (capital) and Velilla de la Valduerna.

Symbols of Castrillo de la Valduerna

The flag and arms of Castrillo de la Valduerna are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 30 June 2005 by the Municipal Council, signed on 5 July 2006 by the Mayor, and published on 21 July 2005 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 141, p. 13,114 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of five equal horizontal stripes, the outer stripe green, the intermediate stripe white, and the central stripe blue and a red serrated vertical stripe covering 1/3 of the flag's length.
Coat of arms: Argent, three huts gules per fess a chief serrated gules the base wavy azure and argent. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
