The municipality of Puentedura (134 inhabitants in 2014; 1,639 ha) is located in the south of the Province of Burgos, 15 km of Lerma and 40 km of Burgos.

Symbols of Puentedura

The flag and arms of Puentedura are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 29 April 2014 by the Municipal Council, signed on t19 August 2014 by the Mayor, and published on 29 August 2014 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 166, pp. 60,334-60,335 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag:White flag with a red St. George's cross, whose arm's height is 20% of the flag's height. In the center is placed the municipal coat of arms, whose height is the half of the flag's height.
Symbolism: On the flag is represented the coat of arms in the center of St. George's flag, red with a white cross.
Coat of arms: Azure (blue) St. George slaying the dragon. The shield surmounted with a Spanish Royal crown.
Symbolism: 1) The effigy of St. George represents the place by its patron saint. 2) The colour azure of the field represents river Arlanza that waters the municipality.
