Shield Azure, a blackthorn blossom Argent with three thorns, shield mantled Argent, at dexter charged with an axe issuant Azure, at sinister parted by a cross Gules.
Meaning:
The blackthorn (German: Schlehe) blossom is a canting element. Mantle, axe and cross are taken from the arms of the Schlehdorf Abbey. It was founded as a Benedictine monastery in 740 and again founded in the 12th century by Bishop Otto of Freising and existed as an Augustine abbey until 1803.

Banner and arms were approved on 18 February 1980 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern. A banner was however never in official use.
