Shield Argent a bend wavy Azure, on sinister chief a cogwheel Azure, on dexter base a fir Vert.
Meaning:
The bend wavy is a representation of the Isar River, the eastern boundary of the city. The fir is symbolising the surrounding forests, mainly of coniferous wood. The cogwheel is symbolising crafts and industries. The municipality was founded on 1 April 1950, when Ergertshausen, Gelting, Königsdorf and Osterhofen were incorporated. The population increased due to the arrival of many expelled Germans from the eastern part of the country. On 27 June 1970 the municipality gained city rights. The arms were introduced on occasion of the 10-years anniversary of the municipality.
