Hemmersheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above Argent a troughout cross patty Sable, charged in centre with a fleur-de-lis Or; beneath parted per pale, at dexter Gules three piles Argent, at sinister quartered of Argent and Gules.
Meaning:
The Franconian rake is representing the Bishopric of Würzburg, to which the village historically belonged. The fleur-de-lis is taken from the arms of the St. Burkard Abbey in Würzburg, which had the right to propose the local priest of the St. Kilian Church in Hemmersheim until the 16th century. Besides the bishopric also the Teutonic Order, represented by the cross, and the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach, represented by the quartered quarter, had been important manorial lords in the past.
