Shield Gules a trident Argent.
Meaning:
The trident, in fact being a spear with three points, is taken from the seals of the Lords of Eglingen, prints are proven in 1293 for Heinrich of Eglingen and in 1347 for Ulrich of Eglingen. The family was first mentioned between 1065 and 1111 and died out in the 14th century. The tinctures are those of the Welfen kin, to which the area belonged in the High Medieval.
