Bad Klosterlausnitz Coat of Arms

Shield parted per chevron enhanced of Vert and Argent, in base the western façade of a Romanic church flanked by two conifers Vert, under the church is a black number "1137", a ladder Argent in both corners of the chief.
Meaning:
The number is alluding to the year, when the Augustine Lausnitz Nunnery was put under the Papal umbrella by Pope Innocent II. A namesake village is known since 1526. The name was changed to Klosterlausnitz in 1661. The church of the monastery was reconstructed between 1863 and 1866 in Neo-Romanic style. The conifers are alluding to the surrounding forests and to the fact that the village had been the centre of the Thuringian timber trading. The ladders are alluding to local crafts, especially the production of ladders.
