Representations of Olomoucký and Liberecký krajs
made decissions about symbols, so now they are together with Karlovarský
kraj awaiting the official grant of the symbols. Liberecký kraj Arms
on the official www-presentation,
now presented by FOTW were unfinished. The vacant field now contains silver
pile (or triangle) with curved sides for TV Tower on top of Mount Ještěd
- an excellent piece of Czechoslovak architecture of 1960es.
Aleš Křížan, 29 May 2001
I have been so bold to draw the flag of Liberec Region. It is based
on the Coat of Arms earlier mentioned by Jan Zrzavy. It gives an idea how the flag
probably will look like. It should not to be taken to seriously but if
you think logically than it will look like this.
Mello Luchtenberg, 28 May 2001
The symbols of the Liberec Region have been approved by the regional
legislature and (probably) sent to the Parliament.
Jan Zrzavy, 6 Jun 2001
The parliamentary heraldic and vexillological subcommittee approved
the proposals from Liberec and Hradec Kralove Regions. See Petr Exner's
"Czech Vexillological
Pages" for images.
Jan Zrzavy, 25 Sep 2001
Two new flags of Czech regions were officially granted by the chairman
of the House of Representatives (decree No. 92, October 8, 2001): those
of the Liberec Region and the Hradec Kralove Region. Both are identical
to the proposals included in "Czech Vexillological Pages" and FOTW. (Note
that Bohemian lions should be identical to those used in the Czech COA.)
Jan Zrzavy, 2 Nov 2001
This is a Coat of Arms Proposal: two Lions, one "von Redern" wheel for
Liberec City and an empty field, where should be a pile/triangle for Mount
Ještěd and wavy base for River Jizera and for lakes in the Kraj. This is
the result of public inquiry
on the Net. These figures should be silver in blue.
