Association Name: Bulgarian Heraldry and Vexillology Society
Officers: Stoyan Antonov, Chairman
Type: Society
Territory: Bulgaria
Established: Dec. 2004
Flag: The BHVS flag contains the national colours and the initial “V” which is so often made to stand for vexillology. In this case, the green initial takes the form of a chevron separating white (top) and red (fields) while the resulting triangle recalls a shield. The cloth is often hung from a horizontal staff: a gonfanon. Adopted 18 March 2008, designed by P. Yaneckov.

Flag

The flag is a red square filled with a green V above which the section between the arms of the V is white.

Even though the flag is a square to be displayed vertically, this picture implies a horizontal display is used as well, when needed.
