The flag and Arms adopted on October 22, 2009. Designed by Peter
Ponce.
Flag: blue field crossed by the ascending black band edged white.
In the upper left corner a golden (yellow) sun with 24 rays In
the bottom fly corner a three five-pointed stars representing The
Caribe Island and two Los Lobos islets.
Blue represents the Caribbean Sea surrounding the islands. Also
the heaven and the hope.
White represents the white sandy beaches.
Black represents the dedication of the people, the strength,
unity, vitality
The 3 stars represent the 3 islands of the archipelago
The sun represents the predominant Amarillo sunlight, courage,
friendship of the people and prosperity.
The flag and the sources, appear to be real, but I'm a little
suspicious until confirmation. Peter Ponce is an author of the
mysterious flag of Islas Los Frailes
and of the Venezuelan Federal Dependencies on wikipedias (also
shown as the flag of Islas Los Roques.

The similarity betweern this flag and the one of Trinidad and Tobago is worthy of mention.
Indeed, it almost looks like an amalgam - the stars of Curaçao, the colours of Aruba,
and the bend of Trinidad and Tobago.
