The Olympia Motor Boat Club was established in 1889. The Boat and Rowing Club
of Olympia was incorporated in 1904. From 1915 onwards, that club was no longer
the BaRCoO.
The Olympia Yacht Club has some interesting details, while
completely missing others. E.g. I have no idea whether the OMBC made it to 1904
to become the BaRCoO, or whether there was a gap in between. Also, nothing is
said about any burgees,
But either way, the assumption seems to be that
after 1915, the club became the Olympia Yacht Club. It's one of the Grand
Fourteen of Puget Sound yacht clubs, It is a club in Olympia, with the West Bay
as its home waters, several branches away from the Puget Sound itself.
The burgee: A red hoist triangle with the apex in the lower hoist. The fly white
with centred a very dark blue five-pointed star.
It may be the club's
by-laws specifies the details of the angle of the hoist triangle or the exact
position of the charge. But I didn't read that, so I limit myself to something
that looked similar to the 14 burgees.
