The Everett Yacht Club is one of the yacht clubs on the Puget Sound: One of the Grand Fourteen. They really aren't that far away: They are at Port Gardner and Jetty Island is all that separates them from the Sound. The club was founded in 1907 in Everett, Washington State. They immediately built the fastest yacht around. They were not rich, but they really built such a yacht. The club's archive suggests they may have bitten off more than they could chew and not long after winning the race in record time, they sold the yacht again, apparently to free up the cash.

In 1910, the Everest Motor Boat Club was formed. They quickly adopted a burgee, and indeed in 1912 Lloyd's lists as a late entry an Everett club. It is, however, the Yacht Club. White, with a red border along the flyward edges, with in the centre a blue five-pointed star.

However, in 1914, indeed, the Everett Motor Boat Club is listed with a red triangle, with a white centre bearing a blue five-pointed star.

After these initial reports follows a period of silence. It's impossible to determine whether both clubs stayed active during the war and its further history. However, in 1931, the Everett Motor Boat Club decides to change its name to Everett Yacht Club, which suggests the former club of that name had disappeared.
