The new logo, with a stylized perspective of the portic and pediment replacing the front view of the same in the old one, is shown also in the official website www.transy.edu.
At www.transy.edu (and at mediad.publicbroadcasting.net, larger), however we see the flag on an actual photograph, while the flag shown at www.collegeflagsandbanners.com,
realist-looking as it is, is, I'm almost sure, a composite image made from a rendering of the logo blended on photo of a blank cloth with grommets.
The new logo seems to have been adopted between May 2010 (date of the photo as per its EXIF metadata) and August 2011 (as per the upload date of this logo online).

Headlining the page at www.transy.edu is a snapshot of what I presume is
the front of Transylvania University (or, at least, a very prominent location, likely the President's office or some other head administration building), and it includes what I believe to be the flag of the university itself.
The old logo can be seen online:

Transylvania University is a private university in Lexington, Kentucky. It
was founded in 1780 and was the first university in Kentucky. It offers 46 major
programs, as well as dual-degree engineering programs, and is accredited by the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Transylvania's name, meaning
'across the woods' in Latin, stems from the university's founding in the heavily
forested region of western Virginia known as the Transylvania Colony, which
existed briefly between 1775 and 1776 in south and western Kentucky.
