The flag of Tumwater is also visible in the photo at www.flickr.com/photos/henry_oly/3300597440. It is a logo on a white background. The logo uses tones of black and brown, and features a "pioneer family", including ox, against a mountain landscape, partly contained in a capital omega-shaped border. Below this are the words "CITY OF" (black between the arms of the omega), "TUMWATER" (large brown letters across the length of the logo, "Washington's First Community" "(smaller black lettering).
