Description of the flag

The flag for the town of Alexandria, Indiana has a blue background, and the seal + two escrolls all in yellow. The seal is a little above center, and the two escrolls are a little below center. The first escroll is bigger than the second one and probably reads "MONROE COUNTY". The second one reads "SMALLTOWN USA".

The official description of the flag from the municipal code indicates the flag was created in 1992

§ 11.01 CITY STANDARDS.
(A) The flag will consist of the official seal of the city and inscribed with the year of incorporation, 1893.

(B) Beneath the seal of the city, a banner designating “Monroe Township” will be displayed indicating the founding date of the township.

(C) The emblems in divisions (A) and (B) above will be gold in color on a field of royal blue.
