Hoisted on the wall in the County Commissioners meeting room and possibly a few other locations, the flag of Marshall County, Indiana, effectively and uniquely displays two of its important landmarks as well as the county's geography. The county courthouse and Chief Menominee Monument stand atop the county's dark blue square shape. The water features illustrated are the Yellow River and Marshall County's two largest lakes: Lake Maxinkuckee in the southwest and Lake of the Woods in the northeast. Marshall County's ten townships and year of establishment (1836) are listed.
