Description

On the David Attenborough documentary series "The Frozen Planet". In the seventh and last episode, there's a scene of a traditional festival at Barrow, in northern Alaska. In the background of the scene is a flag, which appears to be salmon orange with a white disc divided into three segments in the centre (it's possible, of course, that it was originally red and white and has faded).

This flag is identified as being that of ABC crew, as these two images show, one taken May 16, 2007 with picture caption reading "bowhead whale Balaena mysticetus caught by Inupiaq subsistence whalers during spring whaling season Chukchi Sea Arctic Alaska" and May 17, 2007 (https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-bowhead-whale....html) with picture caption reading "inupiaq whalers of the ABC crew bring in a 48 foot 8 inch bowhead whale, Balaena mysticetus, Chukchi Sea, Arctic Alaska" of the same whaling crew in two consecutive days.
