"In the middle of red rectangular panel with a ratio of the sides as 2:3, there is a yellow six-points star; above it there is a white stylized arrow, under it is a yellow half-moon."

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"Gules; or six-rows star accompanied in chief by argent stylize arrow, in base by or half-moon. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or village crown. The author is E.Chernets'kyi.
In modern symbolics used the arm of the settlement founder - prince Vasyl'-Kostyantyn Ostroz'kyi.

The Village

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"In the end of XVI century prince Vasyl'-Kostyantyn Ostroz'kyi, who has based Ostroh academy, - has found city on Krasna river. In honour of prince city waw named Vasyliv. Two hundred years city has castle. The decline of city was held from the end of XVIII century. Vasyliv has turned on village, which did not have even an own church. One from few attributes of former greatness was catholic cathedral."
