Flag of Sveta Ana

The flag and arms of Sveta Ana are prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Sveta Ana, adopted on 18 June 1999 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije 68/1999.

The flag, in proportions 2:5, is vertically divided green-white- green with the municipal emblem in the middle.

The Decision includes a graphic attachment that shows a coloured depiction of the flag and emblem as well as a black and white drawing captioned "Ratio of the flag and the emblem" that shows a vertical flag of uncoloured field (presumably white) with the emblem set in the lower end. Such a monocoloured (white) flag is not at all mentioned in the text of the Decision, however, this may well have been used as the table flag or some such. The dimensions given beside the drawing (1000 mm x 2500 mm) does not make it sound as a table flag - so this is probably an abandoned design that was kept in the Decision inadvertently (or only to show how large the emblem should be in regard to the flag total - since the ratio between the horizontal flag and the emblem is the same).
The text of the Decision clearly states that the flag should always be hoisted horizontally.

The emblem of Sveta Ana is oval-shaped, picturing the St. Ann church above the inscription Sv. Ana delineated with two yellow grapes. The cloud in the sky symbolizes the overcome difficulties.
The description of the emblem in the Decision is a longish list of shapes shown with their appropriate colour characterized in the RAL and HKS system, totaling eight different shades. The flag uses the darkest green from the emblem (RAL 6024, HKS 64K) and white (RAL 9003).
