Meaning:
The olive branches (representing oliveira)and the base wavy (representing Mondego River) are canting.

Oliveira do Mondego Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Penacova Municipality; it had 1202 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 6.6 km².

Meaning:
The base wavy (representing Mondego River) is canting. "Travanca" means "obstacle", perhaps a cataract within Mondego River.
