Overview

This city of 26,452 inhabitants was founded in 1803. The white comes from the silver field on the town's CoA, [which in turns seems to be representing the sky]. The green stands for vegetation and the yellow replaces the golden enamel used on the Coat of Arms for the gullies ["barrancas"].

The flag of Barranquitas is supposed to have the Coat of Arms on it's center.

Reported WRONG Flag

by Thanh-Tâm Le , 12 January 1999

This image as displayed on the Lexjuris site, seems to have reversed colours. The right flag is the top flag which is according to the text at Lexjuris site and is according to pueblos-de-puertorico.com site (Not availible at the moment)
Thanh-Tâm Le , 12 January 1999

The most common error is unknowingly presenting the flag upside down, so inverting the colors in the vertical direction as we may see in Barranquitas
