Mazowieckie Wojewodsto (vojvodship) is a new region formed around and
with capital Warsaw.

Indeed, on 29 May 2006 the Sejmek adopted new symbols. In the letter
I received it was written that new symbols would be discussed om 26 May
in the Sejmek. I did not expect a positive decision so soon. But the Marshall
(=President) didn't sign yet.

It was publiced 19th of july 2006 in "Dziennik Urzędowy województwa

Flag adopted on June, 8 2005 by XXIXth session of the Sejm (parlament)
of the Voivodship of Mazowieckie (Mazovia).
Jens Pattke, 13 Jun 2005
I have a letter dated 8 May 2006 from the office of the Sejmek (Parliament)
of the Voivodship Mazowiecki. The flag of that voivodship was resolved
upon and adopted by the Sejmek on 9 Apr 2005. Based on a negative verdict
of the Polish Heraldic Committee the Marshall (President?) of the voivodship
refused to put his signature below the resolution.
So the flag was rejected and it is illegal to use it. It is now inofficial,
because the image of the Piast-Eagle is not in agreement with the version
of the seal used in the 12th and 13th centuries.
