Dzierzoniów - urban commune, Dzierzoniów County, Dolnoslaskie Voivodship - former German name: Reichenbach im Eulengebirge - older Polish name: Rychbach.
The City's "Statut" of 2003 describes the arms and the flag as follows:
"The Arms of Dzierzoniów are the image of tis patron saint, Saint George,
spearing the dragon, which is laying at his feet. All on the background
of the low brick wall and the sky.
The colors of the Arms are:
steel - Sy.George's armor
green - dragon
red - brick wall
light blue- sky
The City's flag is a rectangular piece of cloth in the ratio of 5:8
divided horizontally into three equal bands in the colors of:
blue - upper band
red - middle band
green - lower band."

Dzierżoniów is in Dzierżoniów county, c. 30 km SE of Walbrzych with
(1981) 36.542 inhabitants; German: Reichenbach. It was founded in the 12th
century and was the scene of the Battle of Reichenbach, in which Frederick
the Great defeated the Austrians Aug. 16, 1762; assigned to Poland by Potsdam
Conference 1945. Patron saint: St. George.
