Flag: a white chevron with the legs at hoist and the apex at hoist of 1/5
flagheight, the hoist gores red and the fly gore green; in red on top hoist
a yellow flower of the wild tulip with three wide and three narrow chalice-leaves.
The point in the arms represents the church and the roofs of the houses.
Near the village are the old manorhouses of Stania State (now a Youth Hostel)
and Heemstra State. These manorhouses have special plants, especially the
wild tulip. That flower has been placed on both the flag and arms of Oentsjerk.
