The council actually informed me there was a municipal flag from the 2009-2012 administration under Municipal President Rogelio Sánchez Galán, but its whereabouts are unknown. Speculative image attached.

Coat of Arms

from lasillarota.com

The coat of arms of Jerécuaro was adopted in 1945 under Municipal President José Gómez, being designed by various citizens. The process was the idea of Mariano Martínez, who organized a call for submissions. Description as found online:

The shield of Jerécuaro is divided into three parts, in the upper an eagle is drawn, that is part of the national coat of arms, taking care of a nest which symbolizes the place where the first settlement of the municipality was [and mountains in the background]; in the lower-left a Franciscan temple appears, because these were the first evangelizers of the community [with paths, two trees, and a Franciscan also seen]; and in the lower-right a sown valley of corn is represented for being the principal crop of Jerécuaro. [with mountains also seen, as with the lower-left; Above the shield is a ribbon reading JERECUARO; under it are two branches carrying corn].
