The primary source of this flag is a personal, local observation by Michel
Lupant, reported, with due credit, in Francia
Vexilla (27/73, September 2002; 28/74, December 2002). The original
artwork in Francia Vexilla is by Hervé Calvarin. The image above as
published in Wikipedia was made by Jaume Ollé.

The website of the Rohingya Arakanese Refugee Committee, an organization
based in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), shows the "Rohingya Arakanese national flag" -
as a graphic, since there is little chance that such a state exists in a near
future.

The flag is derived from the Rakhine state flag, the upper white stripe
being coloured in green, most probably to reflect Islam.
