The municipality of Vasilevo (12,122 inhabitants; 230.4 sq. km) is made of the 18 villages of Angelci, Varvarica, Vasilevo, Visoka Maala, Vladievci, Gradošorci, Dobrošnici, Dukatino, Edrenikovo, Kuškulija, Nivičino, Nova Maala, Piperevo, Radičevo, Sedlarci, Suševo, Trebičino and Čanaklija.
In April 2006, the mayors of Novo Selo, Vasilevo and Bosilovo announced the set up of a joint administration for the three municipalities; this had never previously been done in North Macedonia.
Considering the specifics of these three municipalities, it was decided to have three core joint administration units: Property Tax Unit, Urbanism Unit and Inspectorate Unit.
Municipal staff has already begun with a joint real estate survey in the field in order to gather data for upgrading the property tax database. The new municipal arrangement is already issuing building permits. These steps will help the joint administration to meet their final goal of increasing tax collection.
Since joint administration means a joint staff covering the three villages, this ultimately leads to reducing payroll expenses. This provides the opportunity to re-allocate some of the municipal budget to address other municipal priorities.

The flag of Vasilevo is prescribed in Article 7 of the Municipal Statutes, as follows:
The municipality has a flag. The flag is rectangular in shape, divided diagonally, with the lower part in green, which symbolizes the environment, and the upper part in yellow, which presents the sunshine as a symbol of wish for freedom and lightness. It has the municipal coat of arms on it.
The description is too general and it doesn't give any details, so I have asked some people from the nearby village. They confirmed (but not 100 % sure) that the flag is diagonally divided from the lower hoist to the upper fly, and that the coat of arms on the flag has no scroll under it with the name of the municipality.
