Located in Takasaki City Gunma Prefecture and established in 1957. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark green background with a silver emblem and gold "大學" kanji letters in gold fringe. The university flag has dark green background with a white emblem and yellow kanji letters 大學. (Source) The emblem of the university is named after the university founded on the ruins of Takasaki Castle, and is derived from the family crest of the Okochi clan, the lords of Takasaki Castle, who faced their people with good government, the three fans. The fan on the outer wall represents eternal development and the beauty of the mountains of Gunma, and the triangle in the center represents the famous peaks Akagi, Haruna, and Myogi, which together with the word "大學" symbolize a unique university.
