Located in Kasugai City Aichi Prefecture and established in 1964. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a gold symbol mark in gold fringe. The university flag has blue background with a white symbol mark and white kanji university name horizontally written. (Source) The symbol mark is an essential element to visually express the identity of Chubu University and is the basis of the design system. Based on the founding spirit of "Unswerving Commitment," the symbol mark was adopted to symbolize the three directions that the university will pursue in the future: "Creativity," "Internationality," and "Open University.

The emblem of the university was adopted in 1964, upon the founding of the school. The main university flag is their emblem on a "Chubu Univ. Blue", which is specified as DIC 641.
