October 2025The logo depicts a green gradient of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine with two blue
swords having gradients to its sides, denoting the fact the Governorate has one
of the holiest sites for Shia Muslims. In more modern versions, Arabic text is
read underneath this logo and stylized in black; on older versions, the Iraq
National Flag is depicted above the name of the Governorate in blue. These older
versions are also still used to this day.

The logo depicts an outer ring filled with fleur-de-lis symbols. Inside, a
curved head of wheat for agriculture is connected to a branch to the left; on
the right is a curved sword for Muslim conquests. In the center is a green map
of Iraq with the Ali Holy Shrine dome over it in gold. Also depicted is Arabic
text over a book, placed on a pedestal. Underneath, Najaf Provincial Council is
read in Arabic and in blue; below is the same in black. In the background is
text reading the same in Arabic, repeated over and over.
