Regional Council Lev HaSharon (meaning Heart of Sharon) is
situated in the centre of the Sharon region, east of Netanya . Est. 1984 by unification of
the previous Regional Councils HaSharon HaZfoni and Hadar
HaSharon. Pop: 11,000 in 18 settlements.

image is based on the desk flag so there could be changes when
dealing with hoisted flags. The municipal emblem has not been
published in the official gazette (Rashumot) and is thus
unofficial.

Heart of the Sharon with the "sun made of orange"
emblem, was established in 1984 by uniting the regional councils
of Hadar HaSharon (est. 1960) and Ha Sharon HaTzefoni (Northern
Sharon - est. 1951). It govern 18 communities (Bene Dror,
Ge'ulim, Ganot Hadar, Herut, Yanuv, Ya'af, Kefar Hess, Kefar
Ya'avetz, Mishmeret, Nordiya, Nitzane Oz, Azei'el, Ein Wered, Ein
Sarid, Porat, Zor Moshe, Sha'ar Efrayim and Tnuvot). Pop. 13,600
(2003).
As a Regional Council in the heart of the orange plants era, the
emblem show two oranges: one on a branch and other as the sun
spreading its rays in a clear blue skys.
According to photos at <www.lev-hasharon.com>
the flag at the mayor's chambers is light blue with outlinrd dark
blue emblem, but one can't rulled out the existance of other
variants.
