Local Council Mazra'a (meaning farm in Arabic) is located between Acre and Nahariya, east to road 4,2 km south to Nahariya. Mazra'a was founded in 1896, separated in 1996 from Regional Council Matte Asher and was proclaimed as independent Local Council. Pop: 3500, mostly Muslims. In my first visit there was no flag, so when I re-visited it I entered the city hall to inquire. The mayor gave me an emblem and informed me the the flag is white with blue emblem. The emblem shows a palm tree and the old aqueduct (compare with the Matte Asher flag) crossing the village [Ottoman aqueduct connecting Kabri springs and Acre]. The municipal emblem has not been published in the official gazette (Rashumot) and is thus unofficial.
