Description of the flag

Bishop Monkton Parish Council is part of Harrogate Borough Council, within North Yorkshire County Council, England. Its flag was adopted after the contest, chosen among 13 finalists, but I couldn't locate the time of this contest:

"The above flag will be the new official Bishop Monkton Flag, assuming approval by our VH Committee and the Parish Council and the possible need to have it legally registered.

The design, submitted by David Ralphs, was chosen from the 13 designs below, receiving 47.9% of the votes cast on-line on this website.

Assuming approval is forthcoming for the flag and its design, David will be invited to raise it on the Village Hall flagpole at an appropriate event later in the year. He will receive a framed photograph of the occasion and a picture of the unfurling will probably also be hung in the Village Hall.

We would like to congratulate all the other entrants for their designs which were also excellent".
