An episode of the series takes place in a tightly controlled future society weathering the aftermath
of global ecological collapse. Plotwise, the episode is a rather direct rip of
"Brave New World," crossed with Philip Jose Farmer's "Dayworld" novels. The
unpleasant regime in power is called the Universal Conservation Authority. Its
logo appears several times — a golden Mobius strip ribbon with two extra twists,
folded into the shape of a concave-sided triangle. It is very likely meant to be
reminiscent of the familiar three-arrows-in-a-triangle "recyclable" logo, in
keeping with the episodes's theme. The symbol is shown on a white flag in a
propaganda broadcast.
