Presentation of Regueras de Arriba

The municipality of Regueras de Arriba (339 inhabitants in 2010; 1,135 ha) is located in the south of León Province, 50 km of León. The municipality is made of the villages of Regueras de Arriba (Upper Regueras; 251 inh.; capital) and Regueras de Abajo (Lower Regueras).

Symbols of Regueras de Arriba

The flag of Regueras de Arriba is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 20 May 2008 by the Municipal Council, signed on the same day by the Mayor, and published on 4 June 2008 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 106, p. 10,807 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, with proportions 2:3. A green panel divided in the middle by a blue stripe fimbriated white bifurcating into two stripes of the same color from the middle of the flag to the corners of the fly, at fly a red triangle charged with the municipal coat of arms.

The coat of arms of Regueras de Arriba is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 20 December 2007 by the Municipal Council, signed on the same day by the Mayor, and published on 8 January 2008 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 4, p. 417 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per fess, 1. Argent two poplars proper surrounding a garb of flax proper per fess on two waves azure, 2a. Vert a pillory or, 2b. Argent a lion purpure armed langued and crowned or. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
